Aluminum Nitride (AlN) Nanopowder Applications

Opto-electrical applications: Any number of opto-electronics utilize aluminum nitride nanoparticles in their manufacture. Manufacturers and fabricators have found applications for this material, including dialectric layers in optical storage media, production of electronic substates, the fabrication of metal matrix and polymer matrix composites, and countless others.
Thermal applications: Due to the unique thermal qualities of this material, it sees extensive usage in the manufacture of thermally conductive ceramics, heat sinks, and heat seal adhesives. It’s also of value as a thermally conductive filler material, a crucible, and countless other roles. These traits have made it of interest in military aerospace research, where it has shown value in improving thermo-mechanical properties.
Additive applications: In addition to its other roles, this material used as an additive can improve thermal conductivity, reinforce strength, and improve the performance of epoxies.
